Wye walk

This is a walk of approximately 12.5 miles, which starts from the ever popular village Wye, where a plethora of walk opportunities exist, for a full day exploration of the surrounding Kent Downs.

This one, commences along the flat through Wye Court and over to Bilting, before crossing the busy A28. There follows a steady ascent to reach the North Downs Way (NDW) along the eastern edge edge of King's Wood. We then follow the NDW, leaving it to head downhill, shortly after passing the Coppice Oratory, which enjoys views across to Canterbury Cathedral.

The circuit drops down through Godmersham Park and onward to the church, at which point we will stop for our short picnic lunch break. We continue onward to reach Crundale and up to the ridge of Crundale Downs, over to Coombe Manor. After reaching Broad Downs, we descend to low-level for an easy return to Wye.

There is no pub on this one, but several opportunities exist in Wye, for the group to socialise post walk.
