Linton Walk
This 11.5 mile circuit starting from Linton Church explores part of the weald, whilst also enjoying good views over the surrounding countryside on a clear day.
We initially set off along the Greensand Way adjacent to Linton Park, as we proceed beyond Boughton Monchelsea Place to pass Buttercups Goat Sanctuary. We continue to follow the Greensand Way until we arrive at Sutton Valence and it's castle ruin of which very little remains.
The second-half of the walk see us drop down to an area strangely known as The Harbour, before turning in a westerly direction to make our back to the starting point. There might be a glimpse of the deer within the return leg, as we skirt once again Boughton Monchelsea Place. From there it is through the parkland of Linton Park, before we turn northwards to reach the church.
As per usual there will be snack/lunch break en route, whilst The Bull in Linton opposite the church is good for a drink post walk, and it also does a very good carvery.
