Walks Information

Start time

Group walks are normally within the medium distance range of between 8 to 14 miles & start at 9.30 am on Sundays unless otherwise stated. Please ensure you allow enough time to arrive and be ready for a prompt start as walks will start promptly. If you are not sure of the starting point please contact the walk leader before the day of the walk as often there is no mobile phone reception in walk areas.

You have suitable footwear and clothing for the terrain and the weather, items such as Jeans, trainers or flip flops are generally not deemed suitable, and the Walk Leader could refuse permission for you to join the walk if not kitted out accordingly.
You have sufficient water and food with you. Always bring a drink even if there is a pub stop included in the itinerary.
You have a basic first aid kit for your personal use and any medication that you may need.
You are comfortable with the length/distance of the walk.

Any walkers who might be concerned of how their 'next of kin' would be contacted if they were involved in an accident/incident and were unable to make the call themselves can always enter 'ICE' (stands for In Case of Emergency) with a contact name and number on your mobile and make sure that you carry with you on each walk. If really necessary your fellow walkers will make the call for you.

I would advise that you do not print the programme of forthcoming walks out as it is continuously being updated, and changes to walks can happen at late notice.

If any of you find that are unable to join us on a Sunday but free on the Saturday why don't you have a look at the ramblers website for other groups who frequently do walks on other days of the week. There are 12 other groups in Kent, and member of ramblers, are free to join a walk anywhere in county and indeed the country.
