Conningbrook Lakes walk

This is a low level 11.5 mile walk, starting from Conningbrook Lakes, utilising generally well used paths. It also heads on a short section of the North Downs Way and also the Stour Valley Walk (SVW).

We set off from Conningbrook Lakes car park and head towards Kennington through the new Crown View housing development, then over the Big Burton field to reach the Ridge Recreation Ground. We then head into the countryside at the top of Ball Lane, crossing fields to end up on the edge of Eastwell Park Estate, before reaching Boughton Lees.

We leave Boughton Lees, along the the Pilgrims Way before switching to the NDW path towards Boughton Aluph Church. We cut down towards the A28 to rejoin the NDW, crossing the road into Perry Court Farm. We follow the NDW to Wye where we will have our usual short picnic lunch, as well as a pub drinks stop.

After lunch, our route heads down Oxenturn Road to leave the village, crossing fields back towards Ashford along the SVW, before returning to the car park after circumnavigating Conningbrook Lakes.

Dogs welcome, but please keep on a short lead when required.
