Bromley Green Walk
This is a walk of about 10.5 miles starting from Bromley Green, but please note the later walk start time of 10.30am as it will follow our AGM, which starts at 9.30am. The meeting shouldn't take long and we will endeavour to get going as soon as possible following the meeting.
The route for the walk, heads down to Bilsington and we will visit the prominent landmark of the Cosway Monument, standing proud above the Romney Marsh. Our picnic lunch will most likely be taken here, followed by a brief pit stop at the nearby White Horse for drinks, if the weather is okay.
After the break, we join the Royal Military Canal Path, before turning north up the road beside Bonnington church, and onward to link up with the Saxon Shore Way (SSW). Our route then follows the SSW through various woodlands, notably Park Wood & Priory Wood, before reaching Ash Hill to make our way back to Bromley Green.
