Benenden walk

This is walk of around 11 miles, that explores the countryside, mainly to the south of the Wealden village of Benenden.

Starting from the church which overlooks the picturesque village green, we traverse over the gently rolling open landscape in the direction of Iden Green. Our route heads beside the western edge of Moor Wood en route to Standen Street, then over farmland to eventually arrive at Sandhurst.

This circuit meanders back to Benenden, via delightful open countryside and onward beside Dingleden Farm, close to Beacon Hill and through Beacon Wood & Nine Acre Wood.

There will be our usual short 20 minute or so picnic lunch at a suitable point during proceedings. There is no pub until the finish, when we can gather at The Bull for post walk drinks.
