Kevin Hall
Secretary & Walks Coordinator
Kevin took over as Secretary at the AGM in November 2022, when there was a strong possibility that the group might fold. He joined the Ramblers in 2001, but did not participate in a group walk until December 2019. He is also Walks Coordinator and a Walk Leader. He led his first walk in April 2021, after the covid 19 lockdown, at the end of 2025, he had led 99 walks.
Along with his wife Nikki (Treasurer), they enjoy nothing better than hiking the fells and moors. Favourite areas include the Peak Distict, Yorkshire Dales, South Pennines, Yorkshire Moors & Dartmoor. They have also completed the Dales Way & the West Highland Way, as well as other trails over the course of several days.
A keen sportsman, he played cricket locally for Old Stacians, playing in excess of 600 games and also holding at different times the roles of 2nd XI Captain, Chairman & Secretary. He was Fixture Secretary from 1988 to 2007, at which point the club merged with Ashford. He also held the role of Secretary for the East Kent Sunday League over the course of several years.
A keen follower of local sport, and since childhood has supported Ashford Town FC (now United), and can be found on the terraces at the Homelands throughout the season, and was Match Reporter for 10 seasons.
